Your In-Person Bespoke Perfume Experience
STEP 1 - Fragrance Questionnaire: You complete our online fragrance questionnaire. This allows Parfums Encanteau’s perfumer to get a clear sense of what notes appeal to you and which ones may not. The questionnaire will also enable us to define the mood and feelings your fragrance should evoke. Once you have purchased your online bespoke perfume experience, please complete the fragrance questionnaire.
STEP 2 - In-person One-on-One Session with Perfumer (1 hour): The atelier is closed and reserved for your in-person consultation. You engage in a detailed discussion with Parfums Encanteau’s perfumer while you explore, learn about and provide your feedback on dozens of fragrance notes from various scent families. This exchange allows the perfumer to further understand your fragrance inspirations and preferences as well as the feelings you would like your fragrance to evoke. STEP 3 - Prototype Development: We develop three (3) perfume prototypes (3 mL each) based on your answers to the fragrance questionnaire and discussions during your in-person one-on-one session with our perfumer. The prototypes are typically fairly different from one another to provide you with as wide a range as possible from which to make your final selection while still being within the framework of your preferences. The prototypes are usually developed and shipped to you within three weeks of the date of your one-on-one session.
STEP 4 - Selection of Preferred Prototype and Feedback: You receive the three prototypes and explore how they bloom on your skin. Try them in different settings. Experience how they make you feel. Once you have selected your favourite, you can book an online “Final Fitting” session with Parfums Encanteau’s perfumer here.
STEP 5 - “Final Fitting” Online Session (30 minutes): During this online session, our perfumer answers any questions you have about the fragrance you have chosen. You provide final feedback you may have before your fragrance is produced. This enables our perfumer to craft a fragrance that is finely nuanced and entirely built around you.
STEP 6 - Production and bottling : A 30 mL bottle of your fragrance is crafted. In order to allow for proper maturation and maceration of the perfumery materials, this process normally takes four weeks.
STEP 7 - Exclusive Access: The fragrance is shipped to you. It is exclusively yours. The formula from your bespoke fragrance will be kept on file* by Parfums Encanteau. You are the only person who will be able to re-order it. *Bespoke fragrance formulas are kept on file for three (3) years from the date of the original purchase of the bespoke experience. When the bespoke fragrance is ordered within that time frame, it is kept for another 3 years from the date of the reorder. Please note that your bespoke fragrance’s olfactive profile may vary slightly from reorder to reorder, given the fact that Parfums Encanteau fragrances contain a high level of natural ingredients influenced by each year’s growing conditions.
The one-on-on session with the perfumer takes place in-person at Parfums Encanteau’s atellier located in Victoria Cross, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
